Come work with a congenial work unit which takes pride in their work yet is able to have fun.  You must be a skilled tradesman to complete installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic & electrical equipment including plant control systems, motor control circuitry including variable frequency drives. Must be able to troubleshoot, repair, configure and program automated control systems involving VFDs, Flow/ Pressure/ Temperature Monitors and Process Analyzers, or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems. With safety as a priority, must have knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and also be available for rotating emergency call-duty.  A practical exercise will be given to examine your knowledge & skills for this position. 

 

  • Performs complex diagnostics and measurements using test equipment and procedures
  • Performs independent maintenance and calibrations to system components and units; maintains overall system performance
  • Tests and calibrates electronic control/monitoring equipment
  • May assist in the design, fabrication, and modification of existing control circuits

 

 

  • Ability to work from drawings, specifications, and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Make accurate estimates of time and materials
  • Ability to work with arms above the head, from heights and on ladders or from a bucket truck frequently
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers & customers; must be a team player who takes initiative and delivers customer service

 

Requirements:

 

 

 

  • AAS Electronics; years of experience may substitute for education
  • Control Electronics Certification, Instrumentation Certification, or Programmable Logic Controllers Programming preferred

 

  • 2 yrs. experience electronic repair work on motor control, transformers, or equivalent
  • OSHA Confined Space Training, ARC Flash training preferred

 
 

 
 

 

  • Ability to read blueprints, pipe layouts, electrical diagrams
  • Valid NC Class C Driver’s License
