Members Close to Reaching Goal: 8 in '08 Challenge
is a Hit!
"We're six months into this year-long campaign designed to encourage NASSCO Members to recruit new members and we're seeing great results," said NASSCO Operations Manager Heather Myers. "Nearly 55 new members have joined NASSCO as a result of this campaign. That is a 63% growth from this time last year."
The 8 in '08 Challenge rewards NASSCO Members for referring new members.
Members who recruit 8 new members receive a $1,000 American Express gift card; a $500 American Expres
s gift card for 6 new members and a $100 gift certificate from Omaha Steaks for 5 new members.
New members that are contractors are counted as 2 members. Congratulations to the following NASSCO Members

NASSCO's TAG-R Coming Soon!
Available for sale soon, NASSCO's Trenchless Assessment Guide for Rehabilitation (TAG-R) represents the most extensive
software available enabling the evaluation of over 80 technologies for pipeline rehabilitation. TAG-R is easy-to-use
interactive software created to evaluate alternative rehabilitation methods. Project requirements are entered into the
program and the most applicable technologies are selected from the data. After the engineer designs the selected technology
for each specific application, these methods can then be employed in the renewal of gravity and pressure, water, sewer, drain,
lateral pipe and manholes. TAG-R will be included as part of NASSCO's new Inspector Training and Certification Program.
The software also will be available for purchase independently - $100 for NASSCO members and $195 for non-members. The
benefits are significant. Consulting and municipal engineers receive comprehensive information for choosing the best
solution for asset management by readily selecting specific technologies.

NASSCO is Searching for a Staff Engineer
NASSCO is seeking a full-time Staff Engineer for its headquarters in Owings Mills, MD.
The ideal candidate is:
- a professional engineer or engineer/civil engineer in training
- a strong technical writer
- experienced or knowledgeable in trenchless infrastructure rehabilitation
- proficient in verbal and written communications
- pro-active, self-motivated and a team player
