Scholarships

The NASSCO Jeffrey D. Ralston Memorial Scholarship Structure and Information

Eligible to:

Dependent of active NASSCO member or an active participant in the sewer service industry sponsored by an active NASSCO member.

Amount:

One time amount of $ 2,000.00 to be awarded according to merit.

Number of scholarships to be awarded yearly:

One

Method of award:

Scholarship and information regarding the “NASSCO Jeffrey D. Ralston Memorial Scholarship” and the values and criteria used to determine the award of this scholarship will be presented on the NASSCO website. Application forms are to be available on the web site and through the NASSCO office. Interested students are to provide completed applications to the committee by January 31st. Applications are to be evaluated by a scholarship committee, with final determination by members of NASSCO’s board of directors. The scholarship is to be presented yearly at the annual NASSCO meeting.

Characteristics to be awarded by the scholarship are listed below:

  • Ethics.
  • High integrity.
  • Work experience.
  • Community service.
  • Leadership.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Seeking a career in the sewer service industry.
  • Enrolled student at a college or university.

  • Short essay written by student on selected topic.
  • Completion of list of specific questions.
  • Written reference by instructor or mentor.

Scholarship Committee structure:

Representatives from NASSCO members appointed at annual meeting for a yearly term.

Fund source:

Contributions to the established scholarship fund are sought from NASSCO members.
